Job Description
Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician performs a variety of duties in surgical services to maintain a well-supplied, sterile environment.
Performs terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment and air vents.
Transports case carts, equipment and supplies and disposes of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures.
Monitors and maintains supply inventories at an appropriate par level.
Provides physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting and, moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.
Monitor surgical field for breaks in sterilization and makes corrections to prevent infection.
Required Credential(s):
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credential(s):
Certified Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
Technical School
Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program required
Work Experience:
Less than one year experience required; will hire at the entry level direct from internship at completion of ST program.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
