Job Description


Job Summary:


The MRI Technologist operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Responsibilities:




  • Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.


  • Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.


  • Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.


  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.


  • Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies: State, Federal and Local, and Joint Commission, MQSA, FDA and ACR.


  • Provides clinical education for students enrolled in the Medical Science programs. Accepts personal responsibility for professional practice by adhering to the standards of the profession.



Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:



  • Required Credential(s):


    • BLS Provider?credentialed from the?American Heart Association (AHA)?obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.?


    • Radiologic Technologist?specializing in?Radiography?credentialed from the?American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)?obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.?




Education:



  • Technical School?

    • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required



Work Experience:



  • 1+ years MRI experience preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
