Job Description
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomy Technician collects and processes blood specimens for testing.
Responsibilities:
+ Draws and collects blood samples according to policy. Verifies all related records.
+ Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing according to protocol.
+ Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
+ Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.
+ Assists with office duties such as OP orders, answering phone, faxing, and filing.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
+ Preferred Credential(s):
+ BLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA).
+ Phlebotomy Tech.
Education:
+ Diploma
+ Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience required Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field, or specific certification related to position preferred
Work Experience:
+ 2 Years Preferred Technical Experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
